Practical information

Crest-Voland is a ski resort in the Northern Alps range, in the Val d'Arly, Savoie. The ski area stretches over 200 km of runs between 1,230 m and 2,066 m, served by 81 lifts. Day lift pass 41€ per adult.

* Price per adult for 1 day, public high-season rate. Reduced rates (online purchase, outside school holidays, families, children, seniors) are generally offered by the resort.

ℹ️ These figures relate to the Val d'Arly ski area (Flumet – Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe – Praz-sur-Arly – Crest-Voland), shared by several resorts: km of runs, number of runs, lifts and the lift pass are common to all. The figures shown here and on the neighbouring resort pages therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they are not added together.

Did you know?
For a long time a simple hamlet of Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, hard to reach on the far side of the Arly gorges, Crest-Voland has had its own church since 1585 and only became an independent parish in the 17th century.
Its territory was once a slash-and-burn clearing zone: grain was sown on burnt ground, an ancestral land-clearing practice.

✍️ Our view of Crest-Voland

A resort on a human scale, Crest-Voland focuses on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than impressive figures. Its 35 km of runs are ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially for families or skiers who don't need to constantly change their playground. Crest-Voland's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Crest-Voland's altitude (1,230 m at the base, 2,066 m at the top) helps it keep a decent snow cover in midwinter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is best to check conditions before finalising a booking. The 41€ day lift pass places Crest-Voland among the intermediate resorts on budget: neither cheap nor exorbitant. The quality of the ski area and facilities justifies this price for most skiers. In short, Crest-Voland is one of those rare resorts that combines a real village, a sincere family atmosphere and runs suited to everyone. It's hard to go wrong with a stay here.

🏔️ Espace Diamant

The youngest of the large French ski areas, born in 2005 from the alliance of the Beaufortain and the Val d'Arly. Les Saisies, Crest-Voland, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, Flumet, Praz-sur-Arly and Hauteluce share 192 km of runs between 910 and 2,069 m. It is a modest-altitude ski area but renowned for its snow reliability: Les Saisies catches the weather systems coming from the west and regularly records snowfall totals among the best in the Northern Alps. The atmosphere is resolutely village and family-oriented, far from the factory resorts, with wide runs through spruce forest and a constant view of Mont Blanc.
