Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability

✍️ Our verdict on Pinzolo

The Pinzolo ski area, with its 155 km of runs, offers a fine range for all profiles: large enough that you won't run out of things to do during a week, yet compact enough to find your favourite sectors easily. The 58 lifts make it possible to link descents without long queues. Technical terrain is king at Pinzolo: with 22 black runs and 46 red runs on offer, confirmed skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Off-piste and freeride are practised in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the orientation of the slopes. With a summit at 2,504 m and a village at 770 m, Pinzolo's snow reliability is generally good from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause difficulties early in the season, but conditions recover quickly with the first significant snowfalls. Budgeting for a stay in Pinzolo is clearly on the high side: the lift pass costs 85€ a day, on top of accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but it's worth being aware of it before you set off. In short, Pinzolo lives up to its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
