✍️ Our view of Folgarida

With its 155 km of runs, the Folgarida ski area offers something for every type of skier: big enough not to go round in circles for a week, yet compact enough to find your favourite sectors easily. The 58 lifts make it easy to string together runs without long queues. Technical terrain reigns at Folgarida: with 22 black and 46 red runs on offer, experienced skiers will find plenty to really challenge themselves. Off-piste and freeride are enjoyed in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the aspect of the slopes. With a summit at 2,504 m and a village at 1,300 m, snow cover at Folgarida is generally reliable from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause tight conditions early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly once the first decent snowfalls arrive. Budget-wise, a stay in Folgarida is clearly on the higher side: 85€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence – but it's worth being aware of it before you go. In short: Folgarida delivers on its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most skier profiles without disappointing.
