✍️ Our verdict on Madonna di Campiglio

The Madonna di Campiglio ski area, with its 155 km of runs, offers a fine choice for all types of skier: big enough not to go round in circles for a week, yet compact enough to find your favourite sectors easily. The 58 lifts make it possible to chain descents without long waits. The DNA of Madonna di Campiglio is high end: accommodation, mountain restaurants and resort services reflect a clientele that doesn't count the cost. With a day lift pass at 85€, the stay has a price, but the experience lives up to it for anyone who wants to indulge without compromise. With a summit at 2,504 m and a village at 1,522 m, snow reliability at Madonna di Campiglio is generally dependable from January to late March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause tension early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly once serious snowfalls arrive. The budget for a stay at Madonna di Campiglio is clearly high: 85€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence — but you should be aware of it before you set off. In short: Madonna di Campiglio isn't for everyone, but for those who can afford it, it's probably one of the best skiing experiences in Europe.
