ℹ️ These figures refer to the Monterosa Ski ski area, which is shared by several resorts: km of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all of them. The values shown here and on neighbouring resort pages therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they do not add up.
The 132 km, 21 lifts and lift pass shown are those of the Monterosa Ski ski area, shared by Champoluc, Gressoney-La-Trinité and Alagna Valsesia. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of the km for each difficulty level. Alagna Valsesia is a Walser village in Piedmont, at the foot of Monte Rosa. On the eastern side of the Monterosa Ski ski area, it is best known for its off-piste, among the most celebrated in the Alps, up to the Punta Indren at 3,275 m.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Alagna Valsesia offers 132 km of well-marked runs, a mid-sized ski area that is ideal for a 4 to 5 day stay without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 21 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the flow in high season. Alagna Valsesia has managed to preserve the identity of an authentic mountain village, far from the concrete resorts of the 1970s. People come here for the clean air, the unspoiled landscapes and a friendly atmosphere that stands in contrast to the industrialisation of skiing in some large ski areas. As for snow, Alagna Valsesia is in a strong position with its summit at 3,275 m: even in capricious winters, the upper runs hold up well until April. The village at 1,191 m is also well situated to offer comfortable conditions from mid-December onwards. The budget for a stay in Alagna Valsesia is clearly high: 69€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you set off. In short: Alagna Valsesia keeps its promises. A resort in the Northern Alps that will suit most skier profiles without disappointing.
🏔️ Monterosa Ski
Monterosa Ski links three valleys at the foot of Monte Rosa: the Val d'Ayas (Champoluc), the Lys Valley (Gressoney) and the Valsesia (Alagna). Its 132 km of pistes, rising to 3,275 m, are mostly red runs, and the area is one of Europe's freeride benchmarks. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of kilometres by difficulty.
