ℹ️ These figures refer to the Monterosa Ski ski area, which is shared by several resorts: km of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all of them. The values shown here and on neighbouring resort pages therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they do not add up.
The 132 km, 21 lifts and lift pass shown are those of the Monterosa Ski ski area, shared by Champoluc, Gressoney-La-Trinité and Alagna Valsesia. Run distribution is given as a percentage of the kilometres of each difficulty level. Champoluc, at the end of the Val d'Ayas, is one of the three gateways to the Monterosa Ski ski area, which links three valleys at the foot of the Mont Rose massif. The ski area is known for its off-piste routes and heli-skiing.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Champoluc offers 132 km of well-marked runs — a mid-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 21 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the flow in high season. Champoluc has kept an authentic mountain village identity, far from the concrete resorts of the 1970s. People come here for the clean air, unspoilt scenery and a friendly atmosphere that stands apart from the industrialisation of skiing in some large ski areas. As for snow, Champoluc is in a strong position with its highest point at 3,275 m — even in capricious winters, the upper runs hold up well until April. The village at 1,568 m is also well placed to ensure comfortable conditions from mid-December onwards. The budget for a stay in Champoluc is clearly high: 69€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and high-altitude restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence — but you need to be aware of it before you go. In short: Champoluc lives up to its promises. A resort in the Northern Alps that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
