Did you know?
It is one of the oldest resorts in the Southern Alps: the first drag lift opened in 1936, followed by the official inauguration on 25 April 1937 by the wife of Léo Lagrange, a figure of the Popular Front — a true product of the era of the first paid holidays and the emerging social tourism movement.
The commune is also home to the second-largest Nordic ski area in the Hautes-Alpes, at La Chalp.

✍️ Our verdict on Crévoux

Crévoux is a small, low-key resort — 22 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where you come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Crévoux's family reputation is well earned: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Southern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Crévoux's altitude (1,600 m at the base, 2,100 m at the top) helps it keep a decent snow cover in the depths of winter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. The €29 day lift pass remains reasonable for the quality of the ski area on offer. Counting accommodation, skiing and meals, Crévoux suits those who want to spend a good week without the final bill knocking them off their chair. In short: Crévoux is one of those rare resorts that combines a real village, a sincere family atmosphere and runs suitable for everyone. It's hard to have a bad stay here.
