Astún is a ski resort in the Pyrenees range, in the Vallée de l'Aragon, Aragon, Spain 🇪🇸. The ski area spreads over 50 km of runs between 1,660 m and 2,300 m, served by 15 lifts. Day lift pass 58€ per adult.
* Price per adult for 1 day, public high-season rate. Reduced rates (online purchase, outside school holidays, families, children, seniors) are generally offered by the resort.
The '100K' pass is shared with Candanchú, the neighbouring resort: one pass gives access to both ski areas, around 100 km of runs in total. They are not yet linked on skis: a connecting gondola is under construction, with commissioning announced for late 2027. The distances and runs listed here concern Astún only. Astún opened in 1976 above the Somport pass, in the Aragonese Pyrenees, 33 km from Jaca. Its 50 km ski area runs from 1660 to 2,300 m, with most lift starts above 2,000 m, which gives it good snow reliability. A much-appreciated feature: almost all runs come back down to the same base plaza at the foot of the resort, where the accommodation and services are. The ski area is rather technical, with 19 red runs and 17 black runs.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
A resort on a human scale, Astún focuses on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than impressive figures. Its 50 km of runs are ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially for families or skiers who do not need to constantly find new terrain. Technical terrain is king at Astún: with 17 black runs and 19 red runs on offer, confirmed skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Off-piste and freeride are practised here in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the orientation of the slopes. The altitude of Astún (1,660 m at the base, 2,300 m at the top) helps it keep decent snow through midwinter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. The budget for a stay at Astún is clearly high: 58€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short, Astún keeps its promises. A Pyrenean resort that will suit most skiers without disappointing.
