✍️ Our verdict on Veysonnaz

Veysonnaz is one of the rare resorts offering more than 412 km of runs — a colossal ski area that even the fastest skiers can't cover in a week. With 68 lifts and 0 runs listed, it is a destination that can absorb all kinds of tourist traffic without ever feeling crowded. Technical terrain reigns at Veysonnaz: with 25 black runs and 49 red runs on the menu, confident skiers will find plenty to challenge themselves. Off-piste and freeride are enjoyed here in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the orientation of the slopes. When it comes to snow reliability, Veysonnaz is in a strong position with its highest point at 3,330 m — even in capricious winters, the upper runs hold up well until April. The village at 1,400 m is also well placed to offer comfortable conditions from mid-December onwards. The budget for a stay in Veysonnaz is clearly high: 99€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence — but you should be aware of it before you go. In short: Veysonnaz lives up to its promises. A resort in the Northern Alps that will suit most types of skier without disappointing.

Les 4 Vallées is the largest entirely Swiss ski area: 412 km of runs linking Verbier, La Tzoumaz, Nendaz, Veysonnaz and Thyon, between 1,350 and 3,330 m. Mont-Fort, the highest point, opens descents of nearly 2,000 m of vertical and off-piste slopes that built Verbier's worldwide reputation. Each resort has its own character, from chic, lively Verbier to the quieter villages of La Tzoumaz and Veysonnaz. Run distribution is given as a percentage of kilometres by difficulty.
