ℹ️ These figures refer to the Mayrhofen (Penken – Ahorn) ski area, shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all of them. The values shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore describe the same ski area and the same lift pass: they are not added together.
The 142 km, 61 lifts and lift pass shown are those of the Mayrhofen ski area, shared by Mayrhofen and Finkenberg. The run distribution is given as a percentage of the kilometres of each difficulty. Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Mayrhofen offers 142 km of well-marked runs — a mid-sized ski area, ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 61 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the crowds in high season. Technical terrain reigns at Mayrhofen: with 23 black and 46 red runs on offer, confirmed skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Off-piste and freeride are practised there in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the exposure of the slopes. With a summit at 2,500 m and a village at 630 m, Mayrhofen's snow reliability is generally good from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause tension early in the season, but the situation quickly recovers with the first serious snowfalls. The budget for a stay in Mayrhofen is clearly high: 82€ for a day lift pass, on top of which come accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence — but you need to be aware of it before you set off. In short: Mayrhofen lives up to its promises. A Northern Alps resort that should suit most skier profiles without disappointing.
