ℹ️ These figures refer to the Mayrhofen (Penken – Ahorn) ski area, shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all of them. The values shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore describe the same ski area and the same lift pass: they are not added together.
The 142 km, 61 lifts and lift pass shown are those of the Mayrhofen ski area, shared by Mayrhofen and Finkenberg. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of the kilometres for each difficulty level. Finkenberg is linked to the Mayrhofen ski area by the Penken, at the entrance to the Tux valley.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Finkenberg offers 142 km of well-marked runs – an intermediate-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever skiing exactly the same thing twice. The 61 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the flow in high season. Technical terrain reigns at Finkenberg: with 23 black and 46 red runs on the programme, experienced skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Off-piste and freeride are practised here in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the orientation of the slopes. With a summit at 2,500 m and a village at 840 m, snow reliability at Finkenberg is generally dependable from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can create tension early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly with the first serious snowfalls. The budget for a stay at Finkenberg is clearly high: €82 for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence – but it is wise to be aware of it before you go. In short: Finkenberg lives up to its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
🏔️ Mayrhofen (Penken – Ahorn)
The Mayrhofen ski area brings together the Penken, the Ahorn, the Rastkogel and the Eggalm, linked to Finkenberg: 142 km of runs, including the Harakiri, the steepest groomed run in Austria. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of kilometres by difficulty.
