ℹ️ These figures refer to the Espace San Bernardo (La Rosière – La Thuile) ski area, which is shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all. The figures shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they are not added together.
La Thuile is a village in the Aosta Valley at 1,441 m, at the foot of the Rutor glacier. Linked to La Rosière on the French side via the Col du Petit-Saint-Bernard, it forms the Espace San Bernardo (152 km in total, 80 runs, 38 lifts). Facing due north, it keeps colder and more stable snow than its French neighbour, with long red and black runs favoured by confident skiers. The resort has hosted women's World Cup races on the Franco Berthod piste.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
A resort on a human scale, La Thuile prides itself on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than on impressive figures. Its 78 km of pistes are ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially for families or skiers who don't need to keep changing terrain. Technical skiing is king at La Thuile: with 2 black runs and 7 red runs on offer, confident skiers will find plenty to test themselves. Off-piste and freeride are often enjoyed in excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the orientation of the slopes. With a summit at 2,800 m and a village at 1,441 m, snow reliability at La Thuile is generally good from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause strains early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly once serious snowfall arrives. A stay at La Thuile is clearly expensive: €54 for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short: La Thuile keeps its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most skiers without disappointing.
