Formiguères is a ski resort in the Pyrenees range, in the Pyrénées-Orientales. The ski area stretches over 25 km of runs between 1,750 m and 2,400 m, served by 7 lifts. Day lift pass 40€ per adult.
* Price per adult for 1 day, public high-season rate. Reduced rates (online purchase, outside school holidays, families, children, seniors) are generally offered by the resort.
The lift pass is shared with the neighbouring resorts of Cambre d'Aze and Porte-Puymorens (Trio Pyrénées): same price, valid at your choice of either. These are, however, separate ski areas, not linked by skis, so one pass only gives access to one resort per day. Formiguères is a family resort at 1,750 m in the Pyrénées-Orientales, with 25 km of sunny runs. An authentic Catalan village with a beautiful listed Romanesque church. Very sunny and little visited, it is ideal for a quiet ski holiday in the Catalan Pyrenees.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Formiguères is a low-key resort on a modest scale: 25 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where people come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Formiguères's reputation as a family resort is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Pyrenees for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Formiguères's altitude (1,750 m at the base, 2,400 m at the top) helps it keep a decent snow cover in midwinter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. The day lift pass at 40€ places Formiguères among the intermediate resorts on budget: neither cheap nor exorbitant. The quality of the ski area and facilities justifies this price for most skiers. In short, Formiguères is one of those rare resorts that combines a real village, a sincere family atmosphere and runs suited to everyone. It's hard to have a bad stay here.
