Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Bardonecchia offers 100 km of well-marked runs, a medium-sized ski area that is ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 22 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the crowds in high season. Bardonecchia's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-maintained green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Southern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. With a summit at 2,800 m and a village at 1,312 m, snow reliability in Bardonecchia is generally dependable from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can create tension early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly once the first serious snowfalls arrive. At €49 a day, the lift pass places Bardonecchia in the intermediate category on budget: neither cheap nor exorbitant. The quality of the ski area and its facilities justifies the price for most skiers. In short: Bardonecchia lives up to its promises. A Southern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
