✍️ Our verdict on Söll

With its 275 km of runs, the Söll ski area offers something for every profile: big enough that you won't run out of terrain during a week, yet compact enough to find your favourite sectors easily. The 81 lifts let you link runs together without long queues. Söll's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-organised childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Söll's modest altitude, from 703 m at the base to 1,869 m at the top, makes it sensitive to climate variations. January and February remain the safest months for optimal snow cover. Outside this window, it is strongly advised to check snow reports before you leave. The budget for a stay in Söll is clearly high: 80€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence, but be aware of it before you go. In short: Söll lives up to its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
