Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
A resort on a human scale, Sansicario prioritises the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than impressive figures. Its 60 km of runs are ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially for families or skiers who don't need to constantly change their playground. Technical terrain is king at Sansicario: with 4 black runs and 24 red runs on the programme, confident skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Off-piste and freeride are practised here in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the exposure of the slopes. With a summit at 2,700 m and a village at 1,700 m, snow reliability at Sansicario is generally good from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause tension early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly as soon as the first significant snowfalls arrive. The budget for a stay at Sansicario is clearly high: 55€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and high-altitude restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short: Sansicario keeps its promises. A Southern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
