Did you know?
Unusual fact: from 1964 to 2013, the French Navy ran a "Centre de Réoxygénation des Sous-Mariniers" at La Condamine — submarine crews came there to get some fresh air (and ski at Sainte-Anne) after their long diving missions.
For nearly 150 years the village has been overlooked by the spectacular Tournoux fortifications, clinging to the cliff face, a gem of the military heritage of the Ubaye.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability

✍️ Our view of Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine

A resort on a human scale, Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine focuses on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than impressive figures. Its 35 km of runs are well suited to a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially for families or skiers who don't need to constantly change their playground. Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Southern Alps for getting children started on skiing. Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine's moderate altitude — starting at 1,500 m, peaking at 1,900 m — makes it sensitive to climate variations. January and February remain the safest months for optimal snow cover. Outside this window, it is strongly advised to check the snow reports before setting off. With a day lift pass at just €16, Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine is one of the most affordable destinations in France. For families on a tight budget or skiers who want to make the most of their days without breaking the bank, it is a sincere and often overlooked choice. In short: Sainte-Anne-la-Condamine is one of those rare resorts that combines a real village, a genuinely family atmosphere and runs suited to everyone. It's hard to go wrong with a stay here.
