Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Saas-Fee offers 100 km of well-marked runs, an intermediate-sized ski area that is ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 23 lifts are generally sufficient to absorb the flow of skiers in high season. Technical terrain reigns at Saas-Fee: with 20 black runs and 60 red runs on the programme, confirmed skiers will find plenty to really challenge themselves. Off-piste and freeride are practised here, often in excellent conditions thanks to the altitude and the aspect of the slopes. As for snow reliability, Saas-Fee is in a position of strength with its highest point at 3,573 m: even in capricious winters, the upper runs hold well into April. The village at 1,800 m is also well placed to offer comfortable conditions from as early as mid-December. The budget for a stay at Saas-Fee is clearly high: 89€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you need to be aware of it before you go. In short: Saas-Fee lives up to its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
