✍️ Our verdict on Panarotta

Panarotta is a small, low-key resort, with 18 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where you come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Panarotta's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Panarotta's altitude (1,518 m at the base, 2,002 m at the top) helps it maintain decent snow cover in mid-winter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is best to check conditions before finalising a booking. The day lift pass at €30 remains reasonable for the quality of the ski area on offer. Counting accommodation, skiing and meals, Panarotta suits those who want to spend a lovely week without the final bill knocking them off their chair. In short: Panarotta doesn't compete with the giants of skiing, and doesn't claim to. It is an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
