ℹ️ These figures refer to the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, which is shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all. The values shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they are not added together.
The 120.1 km, 43 lifts and day lift pass shown are those of the Snow Space Salzburg ski area, shared by Flachau, Wagrain and St. Johann-Alpendorf. Flachau is part of the Ski amadé network: multi-day Ski amadé passes also give access to the other ski areas of the network, which are not linked to one another, including Zauchensee, Bad Gastein, Maria Alm and Großarl. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of the kilometres of each difficulty level. Flachau is the home village of Hermann Maier and hosts a night slalom World Cup event for women every winter. It is linked to Wagrain and St. Johann-Alpendorf within Snow Space Salzburg.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Flachau offers 120.1 km of well-marked runs, a medium-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 43 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the crowds in high season. Flachau's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Flachau's moderate altitude (925 m at the village, 1,980 m at the top) makes it sensitive to climate variations. January and February remain the safest months for optimal snow cover. Outside this window, checking the snow reports before you leave is strongly advised. A stay in Flachau is clearly expensive: 75€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the priciest in the Alps. It's the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short: Flachau keeps its promises. It's a Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
