Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Colere is a small-scale, low-key resort — 21 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where people come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Difficult terrain is king at Colere: with 45 black and 55 red runs on offer, confident skiers will find plenty to challenge them. Off-piste and freeride are practised here in often excellent conditions, thanks to the altitude and the orientation of the slopes. Colere's altitude (1,060 m at the bottom, 2,178 m at the top) helps it keep a decent snow cover in midwinter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it's best to check conditions before finalising a booking. The day lift pass at €48 places Colere in the intermediate category on budget — neither cheap nor exorbitant. The quality of the ski area and its facilities justifies this price for most skiers. In short: Colere doesn't rival the ski giants, and doesn't pretend to. It's an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
