ℹ️ These figures refer to the Val di Fassa (Belvedere – Col Rodella – Ciampac – Buffaure) ski area, shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all of them. The values shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they are not added together.
The 55 km, 35 lifts and pass price shown are those of the Belvedere – Col Rodella – Ciampac – Buffaure ski area, shared by Canazei, Campitello and Pozza di Fassa. The Dolomiti Superski pass also lets you ski the whole Sella Ronda. The run breakdown is given as a percentage of the kilometres of each difficulty level. Canazei is the main village of the upper Val di Fassa, at the foot of the Marmolada, queen of the Dolomites. Its Belvedere sector is part of the Sella Ronda, a ski circuit around the Sella massif accessible with the Dolomiti Superski pass.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
A resort on a human scale, Canazei focuses on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than on impressive figures. Its 55 km of runs suit a stay of 3 to 4 days particularly well, especially for families or skiers who don't need to constantly renew their playground. Canazei has kept the authentic character of a mountain village, far from the concrete resorts of the 1970s. People come here for the clean air, the unspoilt landscapes and a friendly atmosphere that stands apart from the industrialised skiing of some large ski areas. Canazei's altitude (1,465 m at the bottom, 2,485 m at the top) allows it to maintain decent snow cover in mid-winter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. A stay in Canazei is clearly expensive: 76€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short, Canazei lives up to its promises. A resort in the Northern Alps that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
