✍️ Our verdict on Campo Stella

Campo Stella is a modest, little-known resort: 14 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where you come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Campo Stella's family reputation is well earned: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Apennines for getting started on skis with children. Campo Stella's modest altitude, with a base at 1,129 m and a summit at 1,696 m, makes it sensitive to climate variations. January and February remain the safest months for optimal snow cover. Outside this window, checking the snow reports before setting off is strongly recommended. With a day lift pass of only 20€, Campo Stella is one of the most affordable destinations in Italy. For families on a budget, or skiers who want to make the most of their days without breaking the bank, it is an honest and often overlooked choice. In short: Campo Stella doesn't compete with the ski giants and doesn't pretend to. It is an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
