✍️ Our verdict on Avers

Avers is a small-scale, low-key resort: 8 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where people come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Avers' family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It's one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. With a summit at 2,539 m and a village at 1,988 m, Avers' snow reliability is generally good from January to late March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause strain early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly after the first significant snowfalls. The day pass at 37€ places Avers among the mid-range resorts on budget: neither cheap nor exorbitant. The quality of the ski area and its facilities justifies the price for most skiers. In short, Avers doesn't rival the giants of skiing, and doesn't pretend to. It's an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
