Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Bivio is a low-key resort, modest in scale: 27 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where people come for calm, authenticity and no queues at the lifts. Bivio's family reputation is well earned: dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. With a summit at 2,560 m and a village at 1,769 m, Bivio's snow cover is generally reliable from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause tension early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly once the first serious snowfalls arrive. The day lift pass at 50€ places Bivio among the mid-range resorts on budget: neither cheap nor exorbitant. The quality of the ski area and facilities justifies this price for most skiers. In short: Bivio does not rival the giants of skiing, and doesn't pretend to. It is an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
