✍️ Our verdict on Aletsch Arena

Aletsch Arena offers 104 km of well-marked runs — an intermediate-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 35 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the crowds in high season. Aletsch Arena's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-organised childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. With a summit at 2,869 m and a village at 1,845 m, snow reliability at Aletsch Arena is generally good from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause strain early in the season, but conditions recover quickly once the first significant snowfalls arrive. A stay at Aletsch Arena is clearly expensive: €70 for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short, Aletsch Arena lives up to its promises. A Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
