ℹ️ These figures refer to the Villars – Gryon – Les Diablerets ski area, shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all. The values shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they should not be added together.
The 87 km, 30 lifts and pass shown are those of the Villars – Gryon – Les Diablerets ski area, shared by the three villages; the breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of the kilometres. Villars stretches along a sunny balcony at 1,300 m above the Rhône valley, facing the Dents du Midi and the Mont Blanc massif. A rack railway climbs from the village to the Bretaye pass, heart of the ski area. An elegant, international resort, it is linked by ski to Gryon and Les Diablerets.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Villars-sur-Ollon offers 87 km of well-marked runs — a medium-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 30 lifts are generally sufficient to absorb the crowds in high season. The DNA of Villars-sur-Ollon is upmarket: accommodation, mountain restaurants and resort services reflect a clientele that doesn't count the cost. With a day pass at 73€, the stay comes at a price, but the experience lives up to it for those who want to treat themselves without compromise. The altitude of Villars-sur-Ollon (1,300 m at the base, 2,120 m at the top) allows it to maintain decent snow cover in mid-winter. January and February are the most reliable; in December and March, it is best to check conditions before finalising a booking. The budget for a stay in Villars-sur-Ollon is clearly high: 73€ for a day pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence — but be aware of it before you go. In short: Villars-sur-Ollon isn't for everyone, but for those who can afford it, it is probably one of the best skiing experiences in Europe.
🏔️ Villars – Gryon – Les Diablerets
Villars, Gryon and Les Diablerets form the main ski area of the Vaud Alps, between 1224 and 2,120 m. Villars and Gryon share the Bretaye sector, reached by rack railway from Villars, while Les Diablerets opens onto the massif of the same name, a stone's throw from the Col du Pillon and Glacier 3000. The area, mostly blue, is particularly suited to families and intermediate skiers. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of kilometres by difficulty.
