ℹ️ These figures refer to the Villars – Gryon – Les Diablerets ski area, shared by several resorts: kilometres of runs, number of runs, lifts and lift pass are common to all. The values shown here and on the pages of neighbouring resorts therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass: they should not be added together.
The 87 km, 30 lifts and lift pass shown are those of the Villars – Gryon – Les Diablerets ski area, shared by the three villages; the breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of the kilometres. Gryon is a village with character at 1,130 m, neighbouring Villars. Quieter and more traditional, it gives access to the same ski area, linked to Villars and the Diablerets, and suits families well.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Gryon offers 87 km of well-marked runs — a mid-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 30 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the crowds in high season. Gryon's family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for learning to ski with children. Gryon's altitude (1,130 m at the bottom, 2,120 m at the top) helps it maintain decent snow cover in midwinter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. A stay in Gryon is clearly on the expensive side: €73 for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the priciest in the Alps. It is the price of excellence — but be aware of it before you go. In short: Gryon keeps its promises. A resort in the Northern Alps that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
🏔️ Villars – Gryon – Les Diablerets
Villars, Gryon and Les Diablerets form the main ski area of the Vaud Alps, between 1224 and 2,120 m. Villars and Gryon share the Bretaye sector, reached by rack railway from Villars, while Les Diablerets opens onto the massif of the same name, a stone's throw from the Col du Pillon and Glacier 3000. The area, mostly blue, is particularly suited to families and intermediate skiers. The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of kilometres by difficulty.
