Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
A resort on a human scale, Val Senales focuses on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than on impressive figures. Its 42 km of runs are ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially with family or for skiers who don't need to constantly renew their terrain. Its family reputation is well deserved: dedicated beginner areas, a well-organised childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for laying the foundations of skiing with children. When it comes to snow, Val Senales is in a strong position with its summit at 3,212 m: even in capricious winters, the upper runs hold up well until April. The village at 2,011 m is also well placed to offer comfortable conditions from mid-December. The cost of a stay at Val Senales is clearly high: €62 for a day pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of quality, but be aware of it before you go. In short, Val Senales doesn't compete with the giants of skiing and doesn't claim to. It's an honest, often underrated destination that deserves to be (re)discovered.
