The values shown here and on the neighbouring resort pages therefore refer to the same ski area and the same lift pass, so they should not be added together.
The 239 km, 45 lifts and lift pass shown are those of the international Silvretta Arena ski area, shared by Ischgl and Samnaun (Switzerland). The breakdown of runs is given as a percentage of the kilometres for each difficulty level. Ischgl, in the Paznaun valley, is famous for its après-ski and its giant Top of the Mountain concerts at the start and end of the season. Its ski area is linked to Samnaun, in Switzerland, and stays snowy until May.

Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Ischgl's ski area, with its 239 km of runs, offers a great choice for every type of skier: large enough not to go round in circles for a week, yet compact enough to find your favourite sectors easily. The 45 lifts keep the descents flowing without long queues. Technical terrain is king at Ischgl: with 21 black and 59 red runs on offer, confident skiers will find plenty to test themselves. Off-piste and freeride are often in excellent conditions thanks to the altitude and the aspect of the slopes. With a summit at 2,872 m and a village at 1,377 m, snow reliability at Ischgl is generally good from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can cause shortages early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly with the first decent snowfalls. Budgeting for a stay in Ischgl is clearly on the high side: 83€ for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It's the price of excellence, but be aware of it before you go. In short: Ischgl lives up to its promises. A resort in the Northern Alps that will suit most skiers without disappointing.
