Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
A human-scale resort, Damüls focuses on the quality of its welcome and its closeness rather than on impressive figures. Its 75.8 km of runs are ideal for a stay of 3 to 4 days, especially with family or for skiers who don't need to constantly change their playground. Damüls' family reputation is well earned: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for getting children started on skiing. Damüls' altitude (1,431 m at the base, 2,050 m at the top) helps it maintain decent snow cover in mid-winter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. A stay in Damüls is clearly on the expensive side: 73€ for a day pass, plus accommodation and high-altitude restaurants that are among the most expensive in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but be aware of it before you go. In short, Damüls lives up to its promises: a Northern Alps resort that will suit most profiles without disappointing.
