Based on the resort's altitude and historical snow reliability
Cerler offers 81 km of well-marked runs — a mid-sized ski area ideal for spending 4 to 5 days without ever doing exactly the same thing twice. The 19 lifts are generally sufficient to handle the flow in high season. Cerler's family reputation is well earned: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Pyrenees for laying the foundations of skiing with children. With a summit at 2,630 m and a village at 1,500 m, Cerler's snow reliability is generally dependable from January to the end of March. A few exceptionally mild winters can create tension early in the season, but the situation recovers quickly once serious snowfall arrives. The budget for a stay in Cerler is clearly high: 56€ for a day lift pass, on top of which come accommodation and mountain restaurants among the most expensive in the Alps. That's the price of excellence — but it's worth being aware of it before you go. In short: Cerler is one of those rare resorts that combines a real village, a genuinely family-friendly atmosphere and runs to suit everyone. Hard to get your stay wrong here.
