✍️ Our verdict on Brigels

A resort on a human scale, Brigels focuses on warm welcomes and proximity rather than impressive figures. Its 40 km of runs are a good fit for a 3 to 4 day stay, especially for families or skiers who don't need to keep changing their playground. Brigels' family reputation is well earned: dedicated beginner areas, a well-run childcare service, well-maintained green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Northern Alps for learning to ski with children. Brigels' altitude (1,102 m at the base, 2,418 m at the top) helps it maintain decent snow cover in the middle of winter. January and February are the most reliable months; in December and March, it is worth checking conditions before finalising a booking. A stay in Brigels is clearly on the expensive side: €69 for a day lift pass, plus accommodation and mountain restaurants that are among the priciest in the Alps. It is the price of excellence, but you should be aware of it before you go. In short, Brigels does not compete with the giants of skiing and does not pretend to. It is an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
