✍️ Our view on Tramelan

Tramelan is a small-scale, off-the-beaten-track resort: 12 km of runs for an intimate skiing experience, far from the bustle of the big resorts. This is where people come for calm, authenticity and queue-free lifts. Tramelan's family reputation is well earned, with dedicated beginner areas, well-groomed green runs and a friendly atmosphere at the foot of the lifts. It is one of the most reassuring resorts in the Jura for laying the foundations of skiing with children. Tramelan's modest altitude, starting at 924 m and topping out at 1,209 m, makes it sensitive to climate variations. January and February remain the safest months for good snow cover. Outside this window, checking the snow reports before setting off is strongly advised. The 34€ day lift pass remains reasonable for the quality of the ski area on offer. Counting accommodation, skiing and meals, Tramelan suits those who want a lovely week without the final bill knocking them off their chair. In short: Tramelan doesn't rival the ski giants, and doesn't pretend to. It's an honest destination, often underrated, that deserves to be (re)discovered.
