Spring skiing: how to make the most of the last snow

✍️ SnowFinder editorial team📅 March 2025⏱ 4 min read

March and April are often the most pleasant months for skiing. Softened snow in the morning, sunshine in the afternoon, lively terraces... Spring skiing has its devotees.

Choosing the right resorts

Glacier resorts such as Tignes, Les 2 Alpes or Val Thorens guarantee snow until May. In the morning, favour north-facing slopes; in the afternoon, south-facing ones, to enjoy the spring snow.

Good habits

Set off early in the morning, while the snow is still firm. Avoid south-facing runs after 11am. Make the most of the terraces and the concerts at altitude that liven up the end of the season.

Prices drop

Lift passes, accommodation, lessons: everything is cheaper in spring. A perfect opportunity for families who want to save without sacrificing quality.
